Claudia Brown first became interested in journalism and theater as a young child, loving nothing more than putting on a performance at home or authoring a family newspaper. As an undergraduate at UMBC, she focused initially on theatre before turning her attention to journalism. After gaining experience in college as news editor of The Retriever, Brown progressed to an internship at The Baltimore Sun, freelance writing for The Sun, and employment as an associate producer at WBAL Channel 11 News. She also interviewed Olympic athletes and reported on international figure skating events for the magazine Ice Chronicles.

Wayne Hepler

Professor

Wayne Hepler is a veteran media writer, producer, and talent who serviced advertising accounts in Philadelphia, Long Island, and Pittsburgh, anchored TV news and sports in Ohio, and hosted radio sports talk in West Virginia, where he interviewed Olympic and Hall-of-Fame athletes. He co-hosts HCN's Chesapeake Sports Desk, hosts the Feedback weekly interview show on WHFC, and has produced and hosted the children's TV quiz show Think Big. He is a lead judge for the annual New York Festivals international radio competition, chaired a division of the Broadcast Education Association, and has written articles for media publications.

Wayne began broadcasting at age 16 on his high school's radio station, was Ohio University's first freshman TV sports anchor, and did OU cable and radio play-by-play. Following his master's degree work, he became a faculty member and radio station manager at the University of Southern Indiana, taught graduate studies at Butler University in Indianapolis, and assumed his present position at Harford Community College.
