Applicants must be at least 16 years of age, hold a high school
diploma or GED, and complete a physical examination with a
negative TB test. One year experience working with pre-school
children is preferred.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry
children and other items weighing up to 50 lbs.; participate in
physical fitness activities including walking, running, jumping,
dancing as well as organized games; and to stand for at least 45
minutes in both cold and hot weather extremes.
The successful candidates must complete continuing education
units as specified by the OCC on an annual basis.
