Starting Salary Range:  $36,366 - $43,639

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Academic Affairs Program Specialist supports the Office for Academic Program Enhancement and Partnerships by completing instructional initiatives and projects, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing administrative support for academic programs and operational needs within the Academic Affairs division. 

Duties include, but are not limited to, developing appropriate reporting documentation for compliance and communicating changes in federal and state legislation; collaborating with deans and faculty to coordinate, evaluate and report Credit for Prior Learning Assessment efforts; coordinating and maintaining college and high school articulation agreements; ensuring the accuracy of the College's catalog content; enhancing and maintaining Academic Affairs web pages; and performing other duties as assigned. 

This is an exempt, professional staff position.  Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required, to be determined by the supervisor.  
 

 REQUIREMENTS:

 

 

A bachelor's degree and one to three years of administrative or instructional experience in an academic setting, preferably at the college level are required.  Applicants must have experience with curriculum development and learning assessment principles and strategies; demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships within HCC and with outside organizations; strong organizational and communication skills; demonstrated ability to plan, set priorities, coordinate activities and meet deadlines; the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and quickly adjust to changing priorities; and be proficient in a Windows-based computer environment and familiar with HTML.
