HCC's Office of Public Safety is seeking a customer service-oriented individual to provide administrative and clerical support f.  Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting visitors/customers in person and by phone; providing assistance with general information; establishing and maintaining files; scheduling appointments; database entry; preparing correspondence, forms, memos, and other documents; and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.  

Work schedule is up to 20 hours per week, to be scheduled Monday to Friday, between 5 and 10 p.m. Final work schedule will be determined by the supervisor.


A high school diploma or GED and one year of customer service, clerical support, or related experience are required.  Applicants must be proficient in a Windows-based computer environment, including MS Office 2010 or 2013, and have experience establishing and maintaining files and preparing written correspondence and other documents.  Experience with data entry and electronic calendars; excellent organizational and communication skills; and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality are also required.  Applicants must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy work environment, such as answering the phone, dispatching calls for service, assisting visitors and watching video monitors.
