Library Assistant
(Part-time)

Starting Hourly Rate Range:  $9.82 - $11.29 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

HCC's library is seeking a customer service-oriented individual to serve at the circulation desk; perform basic computer and printer trouble-shooting; perform clerical duties; process books and other materials for addition to the collection; and carry out other duties as assigned by the supervisor. 

Work schedule is up to 20 hours per week, including evening and weekend hours, with 10 or more hours assigned to the circulation desk. 

REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate's degree is preferred.  One or more years of experience in a library or related setting is preferred.  Computer proficiency in a Windows-based environment and basic Internet skills required; knowledge of Office 2010 preferred.  Position requires the physical ability to shelve books, including the ability to lift up to 10 lbs overhead, stand and stoop for extended periods, and go up and down a step ladder multiple times.
