Maintenance Technician II
(Full-time)

Starting Salary Range: $36,038 - $41,444

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for general building maintenance tasks for HCC campus buildings and satellite locations.  Duties include, but are not limited to, performing repairs and preventative maintenance using a wide range of materials/skills, including drywall, carpentry, painting, and locks and keys; and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. 

This is a non-exempt staff position.  Work schedule will include weekday hours as well as rotation schedules for evening and Saturday hours.

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED and three to five years of building maintenance work experience, preferably in a multiple-building environment, are required.  Applicants must be proficient in working with wood, drywall, paint, and power hand tools; and be able to read, understand and follow OSHA workplace safety practices.  Preference will be given to applicants with large power tool/vehicle experience, such as high reach and backhoe. 

Applicants must be at least 25 years of age and have a valid driver's license with no more than three points in order to drive college vehicles.  The successful applicant must have a Pool/Spa Operator license or be willing to obtain one within one year of employment.
