Clerical Assistant - WAGE Connection (Aberdeen)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Clerical Assistant will perform a full range of clerical functions to support the daily business operations at the Department of Social Services WAGE Connection one-stop employment center located in Aberdeen, MD.  Duties include, but are not limited to, word processing, producing correspondence and reports, data entry, customer service, maintaining files and managing a multi-line phone system. 

This is a non-exempt, grant-funded staff position.  Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED, one year of related clerical and customer service experience, proficiency in a Windows-based computer environment including MS Office, and data entry experience are required.  Candidates should have strong organizational and communication skills.  Experience working with an economically disadvantaged population is preferred.
