The faculty member is primarily
responsible for teaching a range of English courses, including
English 101, research writing, and rhetoric.
In addition, faculty members are expected to stay
current in their disciplines and in teaching
methodologies; implement changes in instruction based on
assessment results; work with outside agencies, such as
government, education, or business in order to promote the
Humanities Division and the College; maintain reasonably distributed office
hours; develop and revise curriculum, participate in a variety
of college committees and task forces, and advise students as
Faculty members are also expected to demonstrate leadership
in teaching, discipline activities, and college service.
This is a 9-month, term appointment
position scheduled to begin August 2014.
Term contracts are annually renewable based on the availability
of funding and satisfactory job performance.
