Starting Hourly Rate Range:  $9.82 - $11.29

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The office assistant provides general clerical/administrative support and front-line customer service for the College's Business, Computing, and Applied Technology academic division.  Duties include, but are not limited to, data entry; preparing correspondence and other documents; establishing and maintaining hard-copy and electronic files; assisting callers and visitors with general information; distributing mail and performing other duties as assigned.

Work schedule is up to 20 hrs. per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 to 11:30 a.m.
 

REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma or GED and one year of clerical, office, or related experience are required.  Applicants must be proficient in a Windows-based computer environment and have MS Word and Excel experience; have knowledge of office procedures and terminology; and have excellent customer service and communication skills.  Knowledge of Banner database system is preferred.
