Graphic Designer

(Part-time)

Starting Hourly Rate Range:  $15.92 - $18.04

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Graphic Designer is responsible for the design and creation of College publications and marketing materials.  Duties include creating and/or updating event programs, flyers, brochures, ads, logos, and other documents; transmitting files electronically to vendors; digital photography, including uploading, scanning, and archiving images; and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
 
REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree with a concentration in graphic design or a related field and two years of experience are required.  Equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience may be considered.

Applicants must be proficient with graphics software programs including PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, Quark, and MS Office; have knowledge of printing and/or reproduction processes, techniques, procedures, and requirements including experience in pre-flighting full-color jobs with special finishes, dies, and/or bindings; and general photographic knowledge and experience using a digital SLR camera.  Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task in a busy environment, and familiarity with MAC- and Windows-based computer environments are required.
