Fitness Center Assistant

(Part-time, Hired As-needed)
Starting Hourly Rate Range:  $10.35 - $11.90

The Fitness Center Assistant assists the Fitness Center Manager with Open Recreation Operations.

Duties include providing customer service to Fitness Center patrons, enforcing Fitness Center rules and safety standards; maintaining an organized, clean and safe environment; serving as a first responder in emergency situations following College protocol; and performing other duties as assigned by the Fitness Center Manager and/or Director for Health and Physical Education. 

The work schedule varies according to the Open Recreation schedule and may include day, evening and weekend hours, not to exceed 9 hours per week.

The hours of part-time, as-needed employees are limited to a total of less than 500 hours in each fiscal year (July 1 June 30).

REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma or GED and CPR/AED certification are required.  Applicants must be proficient in a Windows-based computer environment, including knowledge of MS Office.  Preference will be given to applicants with customer service experience.
